Hyundai Creta EV:
Hyundai is currently testing the Creta EV on Indian roads. The Creta EV caught the spyshot when it was tested. The spyshot has leaked a lot of information including the exterior design of the Creta EV. What features is Hyundai going to provide in the new Creta electric car? Bye.
Hyundai Creta EV: Exterior Appearance
Earlier this year, Hyundai introduced new updates to the Creta SUV that it sells in India. From the design updates we saw in the Creta SUV to the comfort updates, Hyundai is going to give everything in the new Creta EV as well.
The electric version has the same styling as the Creta fuel version with a closed grill, split LED projector headlamp setup, interconnected LED tail lamp, and a charging port built into the grille.
Although no interior photos of the new Creta Electric have been released, it is expected to be identical to the one offered in the Creta. The only major change between the Creta SUV and this Creta EV SUV is the powertrain.
Hyundai Creta EV: Features
We can expect the Creta EV to offer the same amenities as the petrol Creta. A digital instrument cluster and a twin-screen setup with a touchscreen infotainment system, auto-dimming IRVM with telematics, powered driver’s seat, Bose sound system, panoramic sunroof, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, ventilated front seats, wireless charging pad and dual-zone Amenities including climate control will be offered in the new Creta EV.
ADAS features are mainly provided for safety. We can confirm that this car will feature ADAS features as the front ADAS sensors are given in the spyshot photos. The new Creta EV gets a steering wheel with only two spokes. It is noteworthy that various controls including drive selector are also provided on this steering wheel itself.
Hyundai Creta EV: Powertrain
The Creta EV is expected to be powered by a 45 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Also, it seems that it will be powered by a single electric motor that can churn out 133 hp of power and 250 Nm of torque. While the battery is expected to give a range of up to 400 km, the battery is also expected to support up to 11 kW of AC charging and up to 80 kW of DC charging.
Hyundai Creta EV: Competitors and Price
The Creta EV will compete with the MG ZS EV already on sale in India and the upcoming Maruti Suzuki eVX. Both the aforementioned rivals have larger batteries than the one that will be offered in the Creta EV. It remains to be seen how the Creta EV will outperform them. The Creta EV is expected to be launched in India at a price of Rs 15 lakh.
