For the attention of Hon’ble Chief Minister,
Did your police arrest Felix Gerald in Delhi, bring him to Trichy, interrogate him at the Cybercrime office and take him somewhere without even telling his wife? I am pointing this out based on the information given by his wife. What fair sir is this?
Is it the practice that when a person is arrested, his family should be given full information? Why is it being violated in Tamil Nadu, under your rule sir?
How can you allow a man like this to be treated in your government who is a front-runner against fascism? Having experienced all these violations and atrocities during the crisis period, how do you see the same kind of atrocities taking place in your regime?
During that period, my father, a DMK member, was also searched by the MISA police and escaped only because he was absconding. I myself went to jail and met my father who went to jail about 15 times for the DMK party and gave him clothes and fruits. Fortunately, my father’s arm and leg were not broken then. As a college student, I was treated politely and safely. But why are we facing this misery today?
Whip Shankar’s broken arm in prison, Felix Gerald’s rampage, thug law on farmers trying to protect agricultural land, repression of not being able to get out on bail – all this makes people like me cringe.
We do not want money, position, fame, power, family’s business profit, accumulation of property, but this is our situation where we are living with lawsuits given only because we fought for the people? Will your police, prisons etc treat us like this?
If the fascist BJP comes back to power, we will not be able to live in this country without fear, peace and dignity, if this fear and pity is the benefit of traveling with your party members and your allies for the last one and a half years, then we will happily reconcile with the BJP people. Shall we live?
Please break the silence Chief Minister! We still believe that there are fundamental differences between you and fascists.
