India-Pakistan to play trilateral series with Australia? Interested Aussies, Board!

The Australian Cricket Board has expressed interest in holding a tri-series between India, Pakistan and Australia. Speaking in this regard, the chief executive of the Australian Cricket Board, Nick Hoggle, said that India and Pakistan matches are well received by the fans and they are ready to hold a tri-series between the 3 teams.

“Pakistan and India are traditionally arch-rivals. Their matches are well-received and enthusiastic among fans. We are ready to support both teams for bilateral and tri-lateral series. We will be happy to contribute to the revival of the Pakistan-India bilateral series.

The boards of both the teams have to decide on this first. We will assist them in conducting the competition. The busy schedules of the relevant cricket boards prevent more formal discussions from taking place,” Cricket Australia chief executive Nick Hockley said.

There has been no bilateral series between India and Pakistan since 2012-13. The two teams only meet each other in ICC-run matches.
