India beat Afghanistan by 47 runs in the “Super 8” round of the 20-over World Cup cricket series.
The World Cup T20 series co-hosted by the USA and the West Indies started with a bang on the 2nd. In this case, in the 43rd league match in the ‘Super 8’ round held yesterday, India and Afghanistan teams played a series of tests. The Indian team was led by Rohit Sharma and the Afghanistan team was led by Rashid Khan. The match started at 8pm (IST) last night at Kensington Oval in West Indies.

Rishabh Pant, who came in next, was dismissed for 20 runs and Suryakumar Yadav for 53 runs. In the end the team scored 181 runs at the end of 20 overs with the loss of 8 wickets.
Afghanistan then batted second with a target of 182 to win. Openers Ramanullah Gurbaz were dismissed for 11 runs and Hazratullah Sasai for 2 runs. Azmatullah Omarzai was the team’s top scorer with 26 runs. The rest of the players were dismissed by a meager run. Eventually the team lost all wickets and were all out for 134 runs at the end of 20 overs. Then the Indian team won by 47 runs. On the bowling side, Jasprit Bumrah was amazing by taking 3 wickets. Suryakumar Yadav was selected as the player of the Indian team.
