On the fourth Friday of the month of Aadi, the swing service was held in Kanchipuram Adi Kamatshi Temple yesterday.
Lamp Puja
108 women participated in the special Lamp Pooja for the benefit of the world and performed special worship to Kalikampal Ambal with 108 lamps.
Adi Kamatshi Temple
Kanchipuram is known as the Temple City because of its numerous temples. The world famous Kanchipuram Kamachi Amman temple is located here. Adjacent to this is the Sri Adi Kamatshi, Sri Adi Peeda Parameshwari Kalikampal Temple, also known as the Sri Adi Kamatsi Temple.
Every day is special in Amman temples during Adi Tamil month. Women fast. The month of Aadi is celebrated as critical in every goddess temple.
Kaligampal Ambal
In that way, the month of Aadi is specially celebrated in Adi Kamakshi temple. In this temple, special abhishek services were held for Kalikampal Ambal on the fourth Friday of the month of Adi.
Swing service
Utsavar Kalikampal Ambal was decorated with various flowers along with Goddess Lakshmi and Saraswati. He crawled in the inner part of the temple and got up in the Kolu Mandapam of the temple. The show was presented in special decorations and saw the swing service.
108 Lamp Puja
Also, 108 women participated in the special lantern puja held to pray for worldly good, physical health and family prosperity. They worshiped Ambal with 108 lamps and engaged in special worship.
A large number of devotees participated in this event and prayed to Kalikampal Ambal and worshiped Sami with reverence.
Electric lamp decoration
On this occasion, the entire temple complex was decorated with colorful electric lights. All those present were given alms by the temple festival committee and management committee.
