Koyambedu Flower Market
Today being Mugurtha day, flowers were sold in more than 35 vehicles. Retailers and public flocked to the flower market from early morning to buy flowers. Due to this, flower sales were busy.
The price of flowers
Last 2 days in Koyambedu flower market, one kg of jasmine flower was sold for Rs.250. But today the price increased and sold at Rs.450. Similarly, Kanakambaram, which was sold at Rs.500 per kg, is sold at Rs.700. Marigold flower is sold for Rs.200 per kg.
Happy day
As flowers are not in season now, the supply has halved. Florists say that the prices of jasmine flower and kanakambaram have increased due to Mugurtha day.
