38Minister of Industry and Foreign Employment Manusha Nanayakkara has said that mediapersons have been brought to a very low level by saying in Parliament that they have given gift vouchers to regional journalists and brought them to the meeting.
Yesterday (06) a meeting was organized by Minister Manusha Nanayakkara to discuss the issues of journalists with the President in Colombo.
Journalists who participated in the meeting were given Rs. The Minister said that Laxman Kiriella had brought journalists into disrepute by saying in Parliament yesterday that 5,000 worth of gift vouchers had been distributed.
