As 93 constituencies under 11 states and union territories are preparing for polling.
Elections for all constituencies in the state of Gujarat will be held in one phase today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Minister Amit Shah vote in Ahmedabad today.

Last time polling was held for 14 constituencies in Karnataka, polling is going on for all the remaining constituencies today.

A Bahujan Samaj candidate from Betul constituency in Madhya Pradesh state died when polling was about to take place in the second phase of the election. Hence the polling of that constituency was postponed. Voting is also going on for that constituency today.

More than 1,300 candidates are contesting in 93 constituencies in today’s elections. Only about 120 of them are women.

Voting starts at 7 am and continues till 6 pm. After completion of voting, all electronic voting machines will be sealed and taken to the counting centers. There, the votes will be counted and the results will be announced on June 4.

Voter turnout is said to be declining due to rising temperatures across the country. As the voter turnout was low in both phases of the elections, there is an expectation that the voter turnout will increase today.
