1000 rupees are credited to their bank account on 15th of every month to the beneficiaries of Artist Women’s Entitlement Scheme. As the entitlement amount for the month of May is being credited today, there is an expectation that the number of users will increase before the entitlement amount is received next month.
Why Women’s Entitlement?
In order to recognize the work of women and to protect their self-esteem, the Government of Tamil Nadu is implementing the Artist Women’s Entitlement Scheme. 1000 rupees is credited to their bank account every month for the beneficiaries who are linked to this scheme. Thus, women do not need to look to anyone else for essential needs.

Funding was initially targeted at one crore users. But more than one crore came in the economic merit list announced by the government. In the first phase, 1 crore 6 lakh 52 thousand people were connected as users. Those who were rejected appealed again and their pleas were accepted for rehearing and they were joined at various stages.
Announcement of Udayanidhi Stall
About 1 crore 15 lakh people are currently beneficiaries of the Women’s Entitlement Scheme. There are about 2 crore 24 lakh ration cards in Tamil Nadu, and even half of them have not received the entitlement amount, causing dissatisfaction among the people. As a result, people questioned the people’s representatives who had come to campaign for the Lok Sabha elections. Then Special Project Implementation Minister Udayanidhi Stalin made an important announcement.
New users
One crore and 63 lakh applicants will be included as beneficiaries under the Women’s Entitlement Scheme. As the Election Conduct Rules are in force, we cannot engage in the same work now. He had said that the work would begin once the code of conduct for the election was over. The announcement of the new beneficiaries of the Women’s Entitlement Fund will be made in the second week of June when the counting of votes for the Lok Sabha elections will take place on June 4.
Money coming in July!
By then June entitlement amount will be available to already connected users. After that, the work related to connecting new users will be done and from July onwards, the newly connected users will get the right amount.
