Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was released from jail after the Supreme Court granted bail in the Delhi Liquor Policy case.
Manish Sisodia was arrested by the CBI on February 26 last year in the Delhi state liquor policy case. Following this, he was arrested by the Enforcement Department in the same case on March 9. Sisodia has been lodged in Delhi’s Tihar jail for the past 17 months after his bail pleas were rejected by the lower court.
In this situation, an appeal petition was filed in the Supreme Court on behalf of Manish Sisodia seeking to grant him bail. The Supreme Court heard the petition and granted bail to Manish Sisodia in both the cases. Following this, Manish Sisodia was released from Delhi’s Tihar Jail this evening after one and a half years.
