Minister Anbil Mahesh thwarted the conspiracy to close Avadi HVF (Heavy Vehicle Factory) Vijayantha Model School.-oneindia news

About 60 years ago, when the central government tried to set up factories for the defense sector in Avadi, the people of Avadi came forward and provided the necessary land for the HVF Industrial Road.

In return, the HVF (Heavy Vehicle Factory) management established educational institutes for the children of the workers and the children of the Avadi area.

Important among them was the establishment of Vijayantha Senior Secondary School under English Medium CBSE (CBSE) syllabus and Vijayantha Model School under State syllabus.

The school management has issued a statement saying that the school management has refused to distribute the Class XI admission application form in an initial attempt to close the Vijayanda Model School, which is currently running under the state curriculum.

In that statement, they had said that the model school in the state curriculum would be shifted to CBSE and the Tamil medium education curriculum would be abandoned.

Many of the students who studied in this school in Tamil curriculum are working in central state government department with great responsibility. Also, the school management was involved in a conspiracy plan to block the state education system to bring the school, which has achieved 100 percent pass last year and 100 percent this year, under the new education policy of the central government.

And last year, the school administration collected building funds from the students saying that they would build new classrooms in the school premises. But this administration diverted around 30 lakhs of funds collected without building any new classrooms to another bank account. The Avadi HVF (Heavy Vehicle Factory) Labor Development Association has alleged that the school management was involved in a conspiracy to close the school to cover up this fraud.

This was brought to the notice of Assembly member of Aavadi HVF (Heavy Vehicle Factory) Labor Union, Mr. S. M. Nasar. Nasar brought it to the attention of Higher Education Minister Anbil Mahesh that he should immediately abandon this trend against Tamils and start the 11th class admission for students to study in the state curriculum.

The Minister of Higher Education immediately intervened and contacted the relevant authorities and ordered to re-implement the Tamil mode of education in Vijayantha Model School. Currently, application forms are being distributed again in Vijayantha Model School and admission is underway.
