According to reports, the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be held on the evening of June 9. Earlier, the ceremony was scheduled to take place on June 8. But now it will be held on Sunday at 6 pm according to reports.
World leaders including Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe and Nepalese Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal are expected to attend the event. More than 8,000 dignitaries will attend.
Sources said the final date and time are still being worked out keeping in mind the schedules of other heads of state. Once their schedule is completed by the end of today, the final date and time can be finalized. If several dignitaries have to leave by Sunday evening, there is also a possibility of holding the function at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Sunday morning, sources said.
Meanwhile, the inauguration of Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister has been postponed from June 9 to June 12. Because, he is first going to participate in the inauguration ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Telugu Desam Party spokesperson K. Pattabhi Ram said. The Telugu Desam Party leader has also invited many BJP leaders to the function in the state capital.
“He will be sworn in on June 12. Chandrababu will be in Delhi on June 7 for the NDA Parliamentary Party meeting. He will participate in the swearing-in ceremony on June 8. After that he will return to Amaravati a day later and take oath on June 12,” said Pattabhi Ram.
