Muslim people special prayer! The resilience of giving food to five thousand people!

Ayyanar Temple Puravi Take Festival:

In Karungalakkudi village near Melur of Madurai district, the Muslim elders of the area held a special prayer and gave alms to the Ayyanar temple. More than 5000 people from the surrounding village participated in this and had food.

Special prayer of Muslim people:

Karungalakudi village is near Melur. Hindus and Muslims live here. The Ayyanar temple festival here is going to be held on Sunday and Monday (11,12-08-24). This festival should be held in a good manner and for social harmony every year on the Friday afternoon before the festival, the Muslims who gather at the dargah located on the Mollamalai rock, perform special prayers and pay respect to the Hindus and share the sugar they have worshiped with everyone.

Alms for more than 5000 people:

It is followed by a special curry feast and alms giving. Accordingly, this afternoon, the Muslims held a special prayer sitting on a bare rock near Mollamalai, followed by an alms offering attended by more than 5000 people.

Practice followed by forefathers:

All those who attended were given sugar and date fruits which Muslims worshiped. More than 5000 people from the surrounding villages including Kampur, Karungalakudi, Ayyapatti, Alangambatti, Gunnarambatti, Mangalampatti participated in this charity and had food.

The Muslims said that they have traditionally been following this practice followed by their forefathers for religious harmony and proudly said that they and the Hindu community live in the village as brothers and sisters.
