Navy conducts blood donation marketing campaign

27As a part of one other Naval Social Duty (NSR) initiative, a blood donation marketing campaign, organized by the Japanese Naval Command, was held on the Trincomalee Common Hospital on 06th April 2024.

Sri Lanka Navy has been conducting its NSR initiatives on the directives of the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera. In parallel with these initiatives, this blood donation marketing campaign was held underneath the supervision of Commander Japanese Naval Space, Rear Admiral Suresh De Silva. The prime motive of this magnanimous drive was to replenish blood shares on the Blood Financial institution of Trincomalee Common Hospital, at a request made by the hospital.

A big group of naval personnel from all ships and institutions within the Naval Dockyard, Trincomalee volunteered to donate blood for this noble trigger. The proceedings of the occasion had been carried out with the help of medical employees of the Japanese Command Naval Hospital and Blood Financial institution employees of the Trincomalee Common Hospital.
