The Civil Procedure Code (Amendment) Bill was passed by Parliament today (23) with amendments.
The second estimate discussion of the bill was held today (23) from 10.30 am to 5.30 pm, following which amendments to the bill were presented at committee level.
This bill to amend the Civil Procedure Code (Chapter 101) was tabled in Parliament on 13 May 2024 by the Minister of Justice, Prison Services and Constitutional Reform, Vijayadasa Rajapaksa.
Also, two Regulations published in Gazette Notifications 2360/22 and 2371/13 under the Judiciary Act were also approved in Parliament today.
