Permission to protest against Chennai Corporation – officials in trouble

The Madras High Court has given permission to the AIADMK to hold a protest against the Chennai Municipal Corporation in North Chennai.

The petition came up for hearing before Justice G. Jayachandran.

At that time, on behalf of the police, the petitioner said that permission would only be given to public meetings and protests would not be allowed.

Subsequently, the judge gave permission to hold the protest at the place requested by the petitioner and said that the protest can be held for thirty minutes from 8 am to 10 am on Sunday morning.
