Prime Minister Modi filed his nomination in Varanasi for the 3rd time.

Chennai : Prime Minister Narendra Modi today filed his nomination for the 3rd time in Varanasi constituency.

The BJP leadership had earlier announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to contest again from the Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh, where he had won in 2014 and 2019.

Following this, Prime Minister Modi visited Varanasi yesterday to file his nomination for the Varanasi constituency. After that, he participated in a grand motor rally campaign rally there.

Before filing his nomination papers today, PM Modi offered prayers at the Dasa Ashwamedha Ghat on the banks of the Ganga River. Later Kashi Kotwal attended a special pooja at Baba Kalabhairava Temple.

After that, Prime Minister Modi, along with BJP workers, went to the Election Office in a huge rally and submitted his nomination to the Election Officer of Varanasi Lok Sabha Constituency. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Ministers Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh were present during the nomination filing. Elections in Varanasi constituency will be held on June 1, the last day of polling.

It is to be noted that Prime Minister Modi got huge victories by getting 63 percent votes in the last 2019 elections and 56 percent votes in 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
