Prime Minister Modi, who surveyed the effects of the Wayanad landslides in a helicopter, met the people staying in the camps and consoled them.

Prime Minister Modi inspected the damage caused by the landslide in Wayanad, Kerala by helicopter and personally met the people staying in the camps and offered condolences.

Mundakkai, Suralmalai and Attamalai areas were completely buried in the soil due to heavy rains in the Wayanad region of Kerala on the 30th. 427 people died in the landslide and 138 people are missing. The search for the missing persons continues for the 11th day today.

In this situation, Prime Minister Modi inspected the landslide-affected areas in Kerala by helicopter. Earlier, Kerala Governor and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan welcomed the Prime Minister who arrived at Kannur Airport in a special flight from Delhi. They then took off by helicopter to inspect the affected areas.

Subsequently, Prime Minister Modi, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan personally visited and inspected the Suralmalai area. Later, he met the people staying in the relief camps in the area and consoled them. During the inspection, he asked the army and rescue force officials about the current rescue situation.

Following this, a high-level meeting will be held under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. In this meeting, the reconstruction works to be carried out in Wayanad areas will be discussed in detail.
