PR Pandian has informed that Rahul Gandhi has promised that he will file an individual bill demanding a permanent law for the minimum resource price.
Non-Political Samyutta Kisan Morcha (SKMNP) invited leaders of Kisan Mazeer organizations to visit the Parliament office of Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi. The police stopped the leaders of the farmers’ union who went to the parliament to accept it as they did not have permission.
On hearing this, Rahul Gandhi got angry and warned the speaker that he will give 5 minutes time before which the farmers should be allowed in or else he will go to the road and sit and fight with them. After this they allowed inside. Rahul Gandhi sat in his room and listened to the demands of the farmers for more than an hour.
After receiving the petition, he inquired about the incidents of police attacks and firing on the protest ground.
Farmers explained about this with pictures. I will table an individual bill in Parliament asking for a permanent minimum resource price law. As one of you, I will bring it to Parliament till the recommendations of MS Suvanathan Committee are passed. Rahul Gandhi assured the farmers that he will continue to fight and stand by to protect the farmers.
Later, he took me by the hand to meet the media and congratulated the leaders, remembering that I (PR Pandian) had walked with him on the Kanyakumari Path Yatra. The group was headed by Dallewal. 12 leaders including Sarvansingh Panther, Abhimanyu, Karnataka Santakumar, Tamil Nadu PR Pandian, Telangana Rao were present.
