Rejection of India Alliance Party post-oneindia news

Will India accept the position of alliance party?

The first session of the 18th Lok Sabha will begin on the 24th. The conference will continue till July 3.

On the first day of this session, the temporary speaker will be elected and the MPs will be sworn in. After the MPs are sworn in, the election of the speaker will be held on the 26th. In this Lok Sabha, there are opposition parties parallel to the ruling coalition. The BJP alliance has won 293 seats and is in power. BJP got 240 seats. Since it did not get a majority, the BJP formed the government along with the coalition parties.

The Congress-led India Alliance has 234 members. In this case, the post of Deputy Speaker should be left to them, and if a job is rejected, it has been reported that the India Alliance is planning to contest the Speaker election. India Alliance wants to get the post of Deputy Speaker as there are 234 MPs.
The Deputy Speaker conducts the House in the absence of the Speaker. This is why India Alliance is serious about getting the position.

But the BJP is planning to give the post of Deputy Speaker to the alliance party in order to satisfy the post of BJP Speaker and the alliance parties like Telugu Desam and United Janata Party.

If the BJP does not give that post, the opposition parties will contest the Speaker election. Similarly, it is expected that the India alliance will be a hindrance to BJP’s attempt to elect the speaker unanimously.

President Draupadi Murmu has appointed Bharatiya Janata Party leader and seven-time member Pardruhari Mahtab as Interim Speaker of the Lok Sabha, who will administer the oath and pledge to the newly elected members of the Lower House and preside over the election.

The President has also named five senior members — Suresh (Congress), TR Balu (DMK), Radha Mohan Singh and Phakan Singh Kulasthe (BJP) and Sudip Bandyopadhyay (Trinamul Congress) — to assist Acting Speaker Mahtab in administering the oath to the newly elected members of the Lok Sabha.

The Congress has accused the government of flouting procedures and conventions and ignoring eight-time member Suresh’s right to the post of interim Speaker. Opposition sources said on Saturday that the members specified by the President should not join the panel.

The India Alliance has announced that it will reject the post of Assistant Temporary Speaker in the Lok Sabha. The first session of the Lok Sabha after the elections will begin tomorrow in which BJP MP Pardruhari, the temporary speaker, will administer oath to the new members. In this case, it is reported that the Indian coalition parties have written a letter to the Parliamentary Affairs Department rejecting the post of Assistant Temporary Speaker.
