While the government hospital and law college campus in Trichy is being modernized and new buildings with various facilities are being constructed, there were more than 30 different types of trees including saffron, marammallam, neem, and udiyaram at the construction site. Public works officials decided to take action to protect these trees without any harm.
Accordingly, Public Works Department Assistant Executive Engineer R. Venkatesan and his team handed over this replanting work to Greencare environmental organizations from Coimbatore district. A team led by Syed, the founder of Greencare, and a team from the Transition organization, coordinated the work to see and coordinate the replanting work.
Following this, all the trees were replanted. Most of these trees are re-sprouting and giving a very green look. These replanted trees were visited by the administrators of various social welfare organizations of Trichy district.
R. Venkatesan, Assistant Executive Engineer, Public Works Department, Assistant Engineer Sandeep Kumar and Syed, founder of Greencare, who have done these works well in Trichy and sanitation workers Latha, Jayarani, Savitri, Philominmari, Thangaiyan, Kumar, Mariammal, Krishnan etc. They wore bonnets and expressed appreciation and congratulations.
