71Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna’s National Convener and Kalutara District President of the party, Member of Parliament Rohitha Abeygunawardena has decided to support Ranil Wickramasinghe in the upcoming presidential election.
Member of Parliament Abeygunawardena, who attended an event held in his constituency today (04) and addressed, said that this decision was taken as per the request of the party supporters.
He said that his decision was not against his leader Mahinda Rajapaksa.
He mentioned that there are no permanent friends or permanent enemies in politics.
Will you give this country to the People’s Liberation Front on September 22? Or give this country to Sajith who forgets to talk in the morning? He said in the presence of his supporters that instead of giving the country to these verbal leaders, he is preparing for the program of making President Ranil Wickramasinghe the president of this country by listening to your opinion and bowing to it.
