Chennai: A new director has been appointed for the Tamil Nadu School Education Department. Similarly, school education department officials have also been transferred.
Officials holding key responsibilities in the Tamil Nadu School Education Department have been transferred. As the Director of School Education Department, Viwali retires with effect from tomorrow. Subsequently, Kannappan, who was the director of elementary education, has been appointed as the new director of the school education department.
Similarly, Sethuramavarma, who was the Director of Government Examinations Department, has been transferred as Director of Elementary Education. Lalitha, Director of State Educational Research and Training, has been given the additional charge of Director of State Examinations.
The Principal Education Officers of Karur, Mayiladuthurai and Cuddalore districts of the School Education Department will retire tomorrow. Following this, Trichy District Primary Education Officer Krishnapriya has been given additional responsibility as Karur District Primary Education Officer.
Nagai District Primary Education Officer Subhasini has been given additional charge as Mayiladuthurai District Primary Education Officer. Similarly, Villupuram District Primary Education Officer Villupuram has been given additional responsibility as Cuddalore District Primary Education Officer.
