Chennai : The stock market has been fluctuating for the past few days and has suddenly hit a high again today.
The BSE Sensex has been on a rise since this morning, having surged 600 points to 74,881.11 earlier in the day. Meanwhile, the national bourse Nifty50 rose 1% to 22,806. It reached an all-time high of 20 points today.
As the parliamentary elections are going on, the national stock market, which has witnessed extreme ups and downs for the past few days, has reached an unprecedented peak today. It is noteworthy that this peak has not been recorded before.
Also, investors are happy as the Sensex touched 600 points and crossed 74,000 in a single day. Adani Enterprises Ltd, Axis Bank, L&T Construction, Adani Boards and M&M are among the top five gainers in the Nifty 50. Similarly Sun Pharma, Power Grid, Hindalco, Coal India and NTPC are next in the top list.
Companies including ITC, JSW Steels, NTPC Power Grade are reported to have declined marginally in the gauge while all other stocks are well up. VK Vijayakumar, chief investment strategist at Geojit Financial Services, told Reuters that the reduction in fiscal deficit is a significant positive factor (X-Factor) for equity markets today.
