Prajwal Revanna : Majda MP Prajwal Revanna has been suspended from the party pending investigation into the sex complaint.
Prajwal Revanna is MP from Hassan constituency in Karnataka. Belonging to the secular Janata Dal (JDS), he is the grandson of former Prime Minister Deve Gowda and the nephew of former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswam.
Recently, a sexual video of Prajwal Revanna was released and created a storm in Karnataka politics. Also, a complaint has been filed against Prajwal Revanna and former minister Revanna in Hassan area police station in the name of the complaint filed by the alleged victim.
In Karnataka politics, the secular Janata Dal is facing elections in alliance with the BJP. It is noteworthy that Prajwal Revanna has again contested on behalf of Majda in Hassan constituency.
At present, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) is investigating the case. A party disciplinary meeting was held today under the leadership of Deve Gowda, amid increasing demands for party action against Prajwal Revanna.
At the end of the meeting, Majaka Committee President Deve Gowda said that we (JDS) welcome the SIT investigation against Prajwal Revanna and have recommended our party’s national president to suspend Prajwal from the party till the completion of the SIT investigation.
Majda Party President HD Kumaraswamy said that Prajwal Revanna has been suspended from the Majada Party till the completion of the investigation by the Special Investigation Committee.
