Special buses from Chennai! Good news from the transport department!

Tamil Nadu Transport Corporation:

Thousands of buses are being operated by the Tamil Nadu Transport Corporation from the respective zones to all the districts and neighboring states every day and tens of thousands of people are benefiting from these buses. In this situation, the number of these buses is increased on weekends, festivals and special days and additional special buses are being operated.

Weekend off:

In this regard, the transport department has announced that special buses will be operated across Tamil Nadu for three days starting from Friday, August 9 this week.

Operation of Special Buses:

In a press release issued by the Managing Director of the Government Rapid Transport Corporation, it has been said that tomorrow 9/8/2014 Friday and 10.8.2024 Saturday 11.8.2024 Sunday in view of the week holidays, more passengers will travel from various parts of Chennai and from other places than usual.

From Clambakem Bus Station:

In order to avoid crowding in this situation, 275 buses will be operated from Madurai Nellai Nagercoil Kanyakumari Tuticorin Trichy Kumbakonam Coimbatore Tiruvannamalai Salem Erode Tirupur from Madurai Klambakkam Bus Station on Friday 9th August and 315 buses on Saturday 10th August to avoid congestion.

From Koyambedu Bus Stand:

Also 55 buses will be operated from Chennai Koyambedu Bus Station to Tiruvannamalai Nagapattinam Velankanni Hosur Bangalore on Friday and 55 buses on Saturday. Apart from this, 200 special buses will be operated from Bengaluru Tirupur Erode and Coimbatore to various areas.

Also, 20 buses will be operated from Madhavaram tomorrow on Friday and 20 buses on Saturday and on Sunday special buses will be operated from all areas as per the needs of the passengers for the convenience of the people returning from their hometowns to Chennai and Bengaluru.

Booking:

This weekend 8,739 passengers on Friday, 3414 passengers on Saturday and 8,17 passengers on Sunday have booked to travel in government buses and this number is likely to increase further as the number is likely to continue to increase. Apart from this, it is stated in the notice that adequate traffic officers have been appointed at all bus stations to monitor the movement of these special buses, and therefore passengers are requested to make their journey easier by using the above facility.
