Yellow alert for heavy rain has been issued in Ernakulam, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod districts today. It is also reported that the low pressure area from south Gujarat coast to north Kerala and intensity of southwest monsoon is the reason for this.
