Chennai : Former Chennai Super Kings captain Thala Dhoni has now given an interview to Dubai Eye 103.8, a private YouTube channel.
The Chennai Super Kings, who are the most successful team in the IPL series, lost the match against the Bengaluru team last Saturday and left without qualifying for the play-off round. Ever since the start of this IPL series, it has been talked about by his fans on social platforms that this is the last IPL series for Dhoni. But no official information about it has been released till now.
Also, in this IPL series, even once before and after the match, Dhoni did not speak in any interview or at any place. As his fans are waiting for him to speak, he has now given an interview to YouTube channel Dubai Eye 103.8. Stephen Fleming, the head coach of the Chennai team, and Rutheraj Gaekwad, the captain of the Chennai team, were present with him.
In that interview he also talked about the Chennai team. Speaking on the channel, he said, “In the ups and downs you have to be a role model because when you’re successful it’s very easy to say this is what we’re going to do. But if you persist through tough times, that’s when you’ll earn respect.
Also, my association with the Chennai team is not just about playing for a month, 2 months and returning home. The Chennai team is my strength, the Chennai team is an emotion for me”, said ‘Thala’ Dhoni while speaking on YouTube channel Dubai Eye 103.8.
Although he has not officially announced that he will play in the next series, fans of the Chennai team are saying on social media that he will surely play in the next series as well.
