The day I talk about Hindu-Muslim division, I will become unfit for public life – Modi

The Prime Minister said on Tuesday that he is confident that “the people of my country will vote for me”. Narendra Modi said, “The day I make Hindu-Muslim partition, I will be unfit for public life” and “It is my resolve not to make Hindu-Muslim partition”.

Modi made the comments in an interview with News18 India television on the day he filed his nomination papers for a third consecutive term in the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat, and clips of the interview were published on X Page.

At an election rally in Rajasthan’s Banswara on April 21, while attacking the Congress, he said, “Earlier, when they were in power, they said that Muslims have the first right to the nation’s wealth. That is, to whom will this wealth be distributed? Those who have more children are given to intruders. Do you want your hard-earned money to be given to intruders?” The current comments have come amid criticism for what Modi said.

The speech said, “The Congress manifesto says that we will count the gold of mothers and daughters and then divide the wealth. And they will distribute it as Manmohan Singh’s government said: Muslims have first right to wealth. “Brothers and sisters, this urban naxal mentality will not spare even the mangalsutras of my mother and sisters,” Modi said.

The notice was sent to the BJP leader based on complaints lodged with the Election Commission by the Congress, CPI and CPI (M-L) parties pointing to his Banswara speech.

In an interview on Tuesday, the Prime Minister said, “I am not saying I am Hindu or Muslim. I said have as many children as you can support. Don’t create a situation where the government has to (support),” he said.

Asked whether Muslims would vote for him and whether he needed their votes, he said, “I believe my countrymen will vote for me. The day I create Hindu-Muslim separation, I will be unfit for public life. And I will not do the Hindu-Muslim divide. That is my decision,” he said.

“If I give houses, I am talking about development. 100 percent distribution. That is, if there are 200 houses in a village, no matter what community, what caste, what religion. If there are 60 beneficiaries in those 200 houses, 60 should get it. And 100 percent concentration. “It’s social justice and real secularism. And you know if someone else gets it this Monday, you’ll get it next Monday,” Modi said.

Modi, who is contesting from the Varanasi constituency, filed his nomination papers at the district collector’s office on Tuesday. He was accompanied by Pandit Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid. He was the one who decided the date and time for the Kumbabhishekam of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

District Magistrate S. Rajalingam collected the documents from Modi and then on page X, “I have filed my nomination as a candidate for the Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency. It is an honor to serve the people of this historic place. Remarkable achievements have been made in the last decade with the blessings of the people. This speed will be even faster in the coming times.”

BJP President JP Natta, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Party State President Bhupendra Chaudhary, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Thami, Madhya Pradesh were present at the collector office premises when Modi filed his nomination. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Telugu Desam Party chief and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan were present.

Those who proposed Modi were Pandit Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid, party workers and leaders Sanjay Sonkar, Lalchand Kushwaha and Baijnath Patel. Sonkar is a Dalit, Baijnath Patel and Lalchand Kushwaha are OBC, Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid is a Brahmin.

Earlier, Modi started his day with prayers at the Dasaswamed forest and later visited the Kala Bhairava temple.
