The Tamil Nadu government has given Rs. 3 lakh financial assistance has been announced.
In this regard, Chief Minister M.K.Stalin issued a press release saying, “People who were standing sideways and holding water from the street tap on the Thoothukudi – Tiruchendur road were attacked today. At 6.30 am, Nattar Shanti (50 years old) from Mukhani village, who was fetching water, was unexpectedly hit by a four-wheeler and died on the spot.
Both Amaravati (age 58) and Parvati, who were seriously injured, died on the way to the hospital for treatment. I am deeply saddened and saddened to hear this news.
I have also ordered special treatment for Shanmugatai (age 55) who was seriously injured in the accident and is being treated at Tuticorin Government Medical College Hospital.
My deepest condolences to the families and relatives of those who lost their lives in this accident. The families of the deceased will each receive Rs. 3 lakh and I have also ordered to provide one lakh rupees from the Chief Minister’s General Relief Fund to those who are seriously injured and undergoing treatment in the hospital,” it said.
