In other words, in the last IPL series held in 2011, against the same Chennai team, the then Punjab team player Paul Valdhatti scored 120 runs in the run chase and stayed on the field till the end.

This was the highest score by an individual in a run chase and has now been broken by Marcus Stoinis in the current season. They are followed by former Indian team player Virender Sehwag. In the 2011 IPL against Deccan Chargers, Virender Sehwag played for Delhi and scored 119 runs in a run chase.
