Trichy Cybercrime Police arrested Felix Gerald based on a complaint filed by Muziri DSP MA Yasmin against him for insulting (female) police officers during an interview he gave to Felix Gerald’s YouTube channel. He is considered as the second accused in the case.
A case was registered against Chavku Shankar for slandering women constables working in Tamil Nadu Police and the police arrested him in Theni. He was subsequently produced in court and imprisoned.
Also, the police registered a case against the editor of Redpix (redpix), who had broadcast that interview of Savukshankar, and the police, led by Special Inspector Veeramani of the Trichy District Superintendent of Police, arrested Felix Gerald in Delhi on the night of the 10th.
Judge Jayaprada has granted conditional bail in the case filed by the Trichy Computer Crime Branch against Redpix YouTube channel editor Felix Gerald. Bail has been granted for six months with the condition of appearing and signing in person at Trichy Computer Crime Branch twice in every month, i.e. on 1st and 15th.
While Gerald was granted bail today in the case registered in Trichy, the investigation in the cases registered in Coimbatore continues. It is noted that six cases are already pending against him.
