Osman Road Flyover Road Works:
Vehicular traffic has been blocked on the Osman Road flyover near Panagal Park in Thiagaraya Nagar, Chennai due to flyover works.
It is noteworthy that the Chennai Metropolitan Police Department had announced that the traffic on this flyover would be changed for a year from April 27.
In that way, the flyover construction work is going on from T. Nagar Madli Junction South Osman Road to North Osman Road.
50 percent work completed:
Officials said that the ongoing flyover construction work on South Osman Road is 50 percent complete. The new flyover will be constructed for a span of 1.2 km and will provide traffic connectivity to Anna Road. The bridge also connects CIT Nagar Panagal Park.
Also, the 120 meter ramp built to go down on the flyover near Rangan Street is being demolished. It has been informed that after the completion of these works, the work of connecting this flyover with the newly constructed flyover will also be started.
Traffic Change:
Vehicles coming from North Osman Road towards The Nagar Bus Stand have been banned from the Osman Road flyover near Panagal Park until the flyover is completed. Alternatively you can take flyover via link road and reach Dinagar bus station via Prakasam Road Bastin Road Thyagaraja Road Burkit Road.
Also from D. Nagar bus stand to reach Saitappettai Anna road take south Osman road reach Kannammapet junction and take south west bog road CIT Nagar fourth main road CIT Nagar third main road to reach Anna road.
Vehicles going from CIT Nagar First Main Road to North Usman Road at Kannammapet junction should take the South Western Expressway to Venkatnarayana Road via Nageswaran Rao Road to reach North Usman Road.
By December:
From T. Nagar bus station to reach North Osman Road, go from Madeli Roundabout to Barkit Road and take left turn to Nageswara Rao Road via Venkatnarayana Road to reach North Osman Road.
Officials have said that the flyover works will be completed in December. It is also reported that all the works are going on in full swing.
