BJP National Women’s Congress President and Coimbatore South Assembly member Vanathi Srinivasan has been continuously criticizing the DMK government. At the same time, apart from politics, he participates in government programs and appreciates friendship. Recently, he also participated in the Chief Minister’s government program in Coimbatore as an MLA. In this situation, Vanathi Srinivasan met Chief Minister M.K.Stalin today at the Chief Secretariat. At that time, he presented various demands to the Chief Minister regarding the development of Coimbatore.
Vanathi Srinivasan, speaking to the media later, said, “Coimbatore airport expansion was the main requirement for the development of Coimbatore, Erode, Tirupur and Nilgiris districts. The state government was delaying the acquisition of land to convert the Coimbatore airport into an international standard airport. Now the land has somehow been acquired and the farmers have been compensated.
Chief Minister M. K. Stalin has given good news to the people of Coimbatore. The state government has to hand over the land to the central government without any conditions for expansion of an airport. Only then will the central government develop the airport. The Chief Minister said that the Tamil Nadu government, which had kept the conditions till now, is now withdrawing them and is ready to give land like other states.
The airport is very important for tourists, students and professionals coming to Nilgiris and Coimbatore. So thanks to Chief Minister M. K. Stalin and Tamil Nadu Government for taking such a decision.
Apart from this, when the Chief Minister came to Coimbatore, I asked for time to talk about some basic infrastructure facilities in my constituency. They gave time today. I have requested the Chief Minister to make a master plan for Coimbatore,” he said.
He also said, “There have been various speculations about BJP’s participation in the artist centenary commemorative coin release ceremony. Vanathi Srinivasan has said that we are acting as a representative of the people who take the needs of the people to the government as a creative opposition party.
