Chennai : Investigation by officials has revealed that what was in the village well of KR Palayam, Villupuram was not human waste, but honey.
There is a drinking well in KR Palayam village near Kanjanur in Villupuram district. Water is being pumped to the nearby drinking tank by the motor installed in this well and drinking water is being supplied to around 100 families in the village.
The people of the village suspected that there was human excrement near this well and on the wall a few feet deep inside. After this, they filed a complaint at the Kanchanur area police station.
This information was immediately conveyed to Villupuram District Collector Palani, and on his behalf, Vikravandi Panchayat Union officials, headed by a team of Additional Collectors, inspected the well near the well. After taking the area that looked like human excrement and testing it, it was confirmed that it was not human excrement and the people of the village were informed. After this, the suspicions of the people of the town were removed.
Now the information has come out that the district collector has also ordered to construct an iron fence around the open well.
