India’s Lok Sabha Elections, the world’s biggest festival of democracy, is currently underway. In this election which is being held in 7 phases, three phases of polling have been completed. Voting will be held till June 1 and the election results will be announced on June 4.
During the elections, the countries of the world have been accusing foreign countries of interfering in the Indian elections. In that way, Russia had accused the US of interfering in the Indian Lok Sabha elections.
Speaking to the press, the spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that the United States is making baseless accusations that Indians are involved in the murder conspiracy of Khalistan separatist Gurpadwant Singh Bannu, and that the United States is talking baselessly about India’s religious freedom.
And Maria had publicly spoken that the US is doing such an act to disrupt the political balance in India and that the US is working to complicate the Indian general election.
Earlier, the United States Commission had published a list of 16 countries, including India, in violation of religious rights. It is noteworthy that India also gave a befitting reply to this report. US Spokesman Matthew Miller has responded by denying the Russian spokesperson’s claim that the US was interfering in the Indian elections.
Responding to Russia’s baseless accusation, the United States said, “The comments made in the light of day are false comments.. They remain defamatory until proven in a jury.. I don’t want to talk about this because it has to be met legally.. So leave it at that.” Spokesman Matthew Miller.
