Chennai : Director Aamir has revealed the fact that he acted in the film only because of Dhanush’s insistence.
Aamir, who is a leading director in Tamil cinema, has been acting in films since his early days. If there is a film that got him a lot of recognition for his performance, we can say the film Vadachennai, directed by Aamir and starring Dhanush. His role as Rajan in this film earned him a lot of recognition as an actor.
Following that reception, he started acting in many films not only as important characters but also as a hero. In that way, he acted as a hero in the film Vyori Tamilukku. The film hit the theaters on May 10 amid huge expectations.
While the film is receiving good response, director Aamir is participating in media interviews and sharing many things for the promotion of the film. In that way, while participating in an interview, he talked about the reason for acting in the film Maran with Dhanush and the stories that came after acting in the film Vadachennai.
Speaking about this, director Aamir said, “He liked the story of Maran and did not act in the film. I acted only because Dhanush called me and insisted me to act in this film. I said at first that I could not believe the story.
But, Dhanush Anna asked you to act in this film for me. I acted in that film only because Dhanush said so much. Similarly, in other films, directors come and tell me to act and that’s why I am acting. After the film Vadachennai, a 40 story came to me in the same way,” director Aamir said.
Maran film directed by Karthik Naren was released in the year 2022. It is also worth noting that this film, which was created amid huge expectations, met with a critical failure.
